New study reveals: Female refugees hardly reached by sport clubs
But even though there are strong barriers linked to gender inequality and migrant exclusion, the research shows that there exist successful strategies for inclusion. Based on empirical data collected in 7 EU member states, the German SPIN organisation Camino published a study report on the access and participation of migrant women and girls in sports.
First Evaluation Results of the SPIN Women Project
Looking at society at large, migrant and ethnic minority women are belonging to the most vulnerable groups in Europe. The SPIN Women project aims to show the different perspectives of migrant and ethnic minority women and to develop strategies to increase their involvement in sports.
